Hello All,

I recently turned the power off to install new lights , and from then the red power indicator light on the remote keypad has not been on since. The keypad does not work at all , although the keypad keys are illuminated suggesting power ??

The CPU has the power indicator on looks to be OK . It was all working fine before hand ??

Can anyone help ?? I have recentley moved & do not really want to have the extra cost of getting this fixed by an alarm company ....

Thanks !

if you do decide to change the battery yourself turn off the power to the system, remove the old battery, power back up then fit the new battery

no no no

all and any manafacturers instructions will tell you to power up mains first

remember the old scantronic 840 and 8136 they used to have to have a link shorted to over ride the bios programming to allow you to power up battery 1st#

for safety it really should be left to a competant engineer!!

to do it properly it should then be powered up in the following order

main first with no drain on the panel other than keypad

then battery

then aux power

then sounder
