I just wonder why topics keep getting closed so quickly.

Moderators should be there to moderate the board.

It's like having a conversation for some-one to say "stop no more speaking". :ranting:

Yes if the topic is getting out of hand or abusive, but they seem to be getting ended for no reason. I think it will drive away people from the boards IMHO.

Bored moderators, even digging up ancient posts to the top of the pile to close.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

I understand where you are coming from guys. Dave has asked us to keep topics on theme, we all don't want to lose the banter but maybe for now it would be a good idea to keep it trade side.

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

hi all,

the reason for closure is the thread has served purpose of the o/p, if you leave them open it serves no real purpose and encourages 'drivel' posting.

we openly encourage members to us the search function before posting in the welcome onfo, so who needs to read 198 hits and only 5 are relevant?

as public moderators we are still knocking off the ruff edge's, so give us some time to get out shape is all we ask.
