Wots that about??

There was nothing in my post that could possibly be misconstrued. I simply said i await clearance from yourself, as you were the mod 'on duty' at the time, regarding naming the 2 companies. As this is in the public side, i did not/do not know if rules allow this.

as you were the mod 'on duty' at the time,

I don't think the way this place works that anyone is "on duty" as such.

On the other hand, maybe the moderators need 2 personas; their normal "member" self and "moderator mode".

I certainly couldn't decide what Arfur was on about, but it wasn't by any stretch of the imagination a considered moderation comment so just assume it was something else....

Be grateful it was relatively short.

There are two very good lists, readily available in the trade catalogues of the two most common distributors. Chances are most in the trade will have have a copy of one. I await your clearance before naming.

Andrew

Feel free to name them, and supply links if you have them.

Does anyone ever understand what Arfur is on about? :hmm:

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

Hi Red,

I read a good book a few years ago that is a good introduction to access control for beginners called Electronic Access Control by Gerard Honey. You can find it on Amazon.
