Guest CUS Posted March 8, 2004 Posted March 8, 2004 Hi ALL I Really need help with an Optima 2 Plus please. Problem is, everytime there is a powercut (had a few recently) the internal Siren beeps "Continously" once every 10 seconds or so until power is restored Is there anyway I can either disable the "powerloss" beep, or deactivate the internal siren completly from the control panel? Fingers Crossed... CUS
Guest dale Posted March 8, 2004 Posted March 8, 2004 Why would you want to disconect the sounder. It beeps to tell you that the power is unavailable. Almost every system I have seen either beeps or flashes if there is a power failure. This is normal. If you are having power loss often contact your power distribution company and ask for compensation or threaten them with legal action, this generally stimulates them to find the problem and fix it.
FASTCAR Posted March 8, 2004 Posted March 8, 2004 CUS, This is an engineer programmable function , if you have the engineer code , it can be turned off.Its an old panel , if it is due a service (every 3 - 4 years), ask the friendly engineer to turn it off for you.
