Alpat Systems Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Hiwhich UPS would you recommend to run 3 dvr's? Hi Ish, You need to be a bit more specific i.e Which DVR's, (need to know power usage) How long do you require the UPS to run on battery following a power outage? Rackmount or Free standing Is power fail alert required etc etc....... I've always used APC products (www.apc.com) some of the UPS do alot more than just battery backup!

uski Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Hi, I assume that you also want the UPS to supply battery power to the cameras and other devices if any ? You first need to determine how many Watts all this stuff eats... 12 hours is quite long for an UPS and expect the UPS to be quite bulky and heavy. uski
cutwitt Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 we just want the ups to power the dvr's. The 365 needs 65 watts so to keep 3 running for 12 hours you will need a 2200VA UPS It will weigh around 60 Kg and set you back around
Alpat Systems Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Run time charts: http://www.apc.com/products/runtime_for_ex...m?upsfamily=165

kensplace Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 What about the cams? Three 16 channel dvrs, could be max of 48 cams that also need backup power for 12 hours... Plus any telemetry, pan / tilt / zooms, alarms, monitors etc.
