Tallbloke Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Most of us have had one. Take a chance, no wardens to be seen then as you pop back out after leaving the car for a what seems like only a minute or two, there's a **** putting one on your screen. Grrrrr. Where did he come from? Teleportation? More likely he was writing the ticket from a hidden vantage point. My mate was dropping one of his guys off in central London and stopped on a yellow. As he was helping his unload the tools and kit, engine running and hazards on, a warden slapped a written ticket on the screen. Now, you can drive away before the ticket is written and the toss. Successfully, it seems, as some wardens now take pictures of the ticketed car to avoid some disputes. Wardens sometimes hide, write the ticket away from the car then walk up and slap it on, leaving less chance of a drive-off. I have done this after being asked to wait by the warden while she wrote it. I laughed in her face and did one. Nothing became of that. I also told a woman who was being ticketed to drive off, much to the silent anger of the wardens. She then rang the shop I was working in to thank me after I explainedthe ticket wasn't enforcible until issued, ie slapped on the screen. A couple of years ago I had a
luggsey Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 I heard someone say once the way to get off a car park ticket was to simply ask a driver leaving the car park if you can have their old ticket, send it in with the fine paperwork saying it slid down to the floor of the van without being noticed. Now I would never consider doing this and don't condone it in any way shape or form. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Life is like a box of chocolates, some bugger always gets the nice ones! norman Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 But thats fraud! and you condone it! crikey, better off out of the security game then. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
arfur mo Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 I would consider doing this and condone it fully Then you tread in thin ice imo, the stipulation is to display the valid ticket on the window screen. i have been ticketed having paid and displayed, paid up as i could not be asked to go to an adjudication, it would cost more thn the fine in lost work, exactely what they rely on. these days i afix the ticket and take several photo's with my phone as evidence, i also keep them for over 2 months as it's not uncommon the first thing you know about it is the excess fine for non-payment of a ticket you never seen regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!

Numberplate in the window? Or what about putting the ticket next to the tax disc? Reason I say this is at one time you could get a car parking ticket if your ticket was displayed upside down! I used to display my tax disc upside down as a 2 fingers up to tone and TJ untill someone told me I can get done for that as well! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Life is like a box of chocolates, some bugger always gets the nice ones!
