BASS Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Hi there. We currently use the Risco WatchOut Range for external/outside protection we haven't had any problem with them yet and they do have an excellent catch performance. They ignore things like swaying trees and animals. But you must read the instructions that comes with it about installing it. As for texting or speech diallers we use the Texecom speech diallers which depending which models you choose you can have text and also add RMU (remote microphone units) so you can listen in. Here's some links Risco Watchout Detector Texecom Speech Dialler Hope These Help

STEWENG Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Dialers are quite easy to fit, they are triggered by the sw -ve same as the bell and just need to be wired into a phone socket. Normally the most difficult thing about them is getting to the nearest phone point. Always make sure the point works before you start. The ADE Informa is cheap and chearfull but Texecom do a speech and text dialler which looks a lot more modern, has extra features and probably explains in the instructions how to wire into the R8, same manufacturer. All dialler instructions are pretty good so buy one and get it working at home instaed of struggling on the job. I wouldn't recommend connecting an external sensor to your intruder alarm! A floodlight with built in PIR and an RF transmitter to a switched output is best. This might sound a bit complicated but it doesn't have to be. Check ou the products below. TLRXC1 RF Plug-In Chime Alarm Adaptor - chimes when the PIR is triggered and anything plugged in can be activated, like a light etc TLTX500B 500W RF Multi-PIR Halogen Floodlight - lights up the area and sends a signal to the chime Hope this all helps!

hullofaplace Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Dont forget to run the dialler through a broadband filter, if your client has broadband!
