Alpat Systems Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Thought I'd just update this thread, as I've just quoted for a job that requires a camera installing in a remote location of a site with no power near the cam. Equipment to be used is: Haydom Metro 12V housing - 600mA Samsung SDV-415 12V 350mA Radio Contact Wireless transmitter CCT2440/TX 130mA I contacted a company called sun shine solar here's the response: Thanks for your enquiry, to power your camera and Wirless Tx you would need at least an 80watt panel and 7 amp regulator. This may be overkill for these two items but you need to allow for dull days with few daylight hours. We have left out the heater as we have no idea how much time this unit would be in use. We would further suggest you start with this and see how the system copes. A 110amp battery should give plenty of scope for storage of power.
