Adi Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Was Looking @ installing these Reflex Quad PIRs on a site wandered if you guys ad any experience of them Used to use reflex now use the prestige, both texecom. They are a good detector just look a little dated now. I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.
antinode Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 IMO the Reflex and Medusa are now typical electrician's choice detectors (ie cheap and cheerful). You can get alot better if you spend a couple of quid more. Take a look at the Rokonet Zodiac Quads if you want a cheap, good passive, or the IS215T from Honeywell (I believe they now do a Quad version too). The Optex RX40 is not a quad but still a good detector if you don't mind the relay noise. Trade Member
BASS Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 We Use the Bosch and Texecom Prestige Series. Don't like the Reflex or Medusa Range
Service Engineer Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 I've fitted hundreds of Reflex passives In Domestics, and had very few problems with them. Good Cheap reliable detectors. ........................................................ Dave Partridge (Romec Service Engineer)
breff Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Errrrrrrrrrrr, I've heard they are good, but I think you meant Bass not me The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
BASS Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 sorry meant bass not you breff There ok we use the blueline (which is new to us) and the TriTech Range they have an excellent catch performance. But we install the Texecom Prestige Range Which in my opineon is the best pir and dualtec we have used so far and less time consuming.
whistle Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 i agree honeywell would be my choice of detector Why when the Honeywell IS 125 is in screw fix for 7 quid. Thats why we stopped using them.
morph Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 i agree honeywell would be my choice of detector How many do you use a month?
Guest anguscanplay Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 Why when the Honeywell IS 125 is in screw fix for 7 quid.Thats why we stopped using them. its still a good detector though even if the public can buy it
