breff Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 Is that for real? If so its quality. The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
Chorlton Posted April 5, 2007 Author Posted April 5, 2007 Recieved it from a mate who works for the RAC. It was taken this afternoon and is alreday doing the rounds on a few car forums. The AA van is less than 1-months old so the VW assistance was called because the patrolman could not fix the fault. I think he should have called the office 1st

I think he should have called the office 1st I am not sure about the AA's ability i have called them three times in about as many months and EVERY time i end up being towed back to a main garage Then saying that a friend of mine is an auto electrican and he does alot of work for the AA and the AA could'nt get one of their vans started and they come to the conculsion it was a electrical fault and along came my friend...it took him about a minute to sort...he put some diesel into it and away the van went...first time...so much for the 4th emergency service
norman Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Well I must be lucky, in over 400k I have only broken down once, three weeks ago, called the AA at 0730 to be given an eta of 0810 and the patrol man would ring me ten minutes before arrival, no don't bother I said, just get here when you can. 0800 phone rings I am ten minutes away he said and true to form he was here at 0811, should I complain? Anyway over an hour trying to get it going then he resigned to towing me the 1/2 a mile to the dealer. Result, well until the dealer got there mitts on it, can I have a loan car please? no they are all booked out, we can get you a car if we cannot fix within 24 hours of diagnosing. great, then a loan car tomorrow? no, the keyword is diagnosing, we are stacked out and may not get it on the ramps for 10 days!! OK then can I have a lift to work as your sign says? yes no problem where do you work? Hessle Hessle where's that? Hull (60 miles away) Ah that might be a problem but your sign say a lift home or work, I'll go to work please I'll have to check...... that's fine get me a coffee whilst I wait OK but you may have to wait 3-4 hours No problem I'll wait, can I have another coffee please any way I arranged an alternative lift but to summarise... AA= great Evans Halshaw Vauxhall= Sh1te Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
