oldspark Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 Put this topic in the DIY section but reposting as some of you guys will have more knowledge thanks Hi: Bought an SD1 + Speech Dialler to add to my system I fitted a few years ago. Looking at the manual theres options for alarm, fire, PA etc with connections A,B,C for each trigger I just need it to send a message when theres an alarm activation, the unit itself has Trig A, Trig B and Trig C So if I just need C for alarm is it just connected to B or bell output in the alarm panel and the 12V and 0V supply, is that it just the 3 connections and 2 for the phone or am i missing something Theres also an Abort connection on the unit beside A, B and C but nothing about it in the manual, "the diagram does'nt match the PCB" On activation the message is sent and the receiver has to press a digit on the phone to to tell the unit it has been succesfull so im wondering if everything works with just 1 connection plus power os
norman Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 Sorry we can not give out specific engineering advice on this forum. Sorry dont use them. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
oldspark Posted April 8, 2007 Author Posted April 8, 2007 yes thats fine, ignore A & B triggers if not used Thanks for that. I did'nt think I was looking for specfic engineering information I'm only querying whats in the installation manual that you get if you buy the unit. I take it thats ok on here ? os
