Guest Sparky169 Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Don't worry Alan. I know. It's something we deal with in our line on a daily basis. Andrew still think a static cctv system recording the route would be better :!: dvr could go in a private office and machine set to motion quite high sensitivity
Cubit Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 still think a static cctv system recording the route would be better :!: dvr could go in a private office and machine set to motion quite high sensitivity And who is meant to watch it?? The audit trail???

Cubit Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 the audit trail would be from the motion recording. Sparky, please read the first post...carefully. I'll make a little clearer for you. It's to monitor the guards...the very people who usually monitor the cctv. It's at night...you assume, with no foundation, adequate lighting. No mention of cameras Audit trails -reports - paper record of events. Any idea why the customer might want these??? etc etc.

Guest anguscanplay Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Hi Cubit, not meant to be the final answer, just the basis of a cost effective system. without any knowledge of the building or clients actual detailed requirements/budget this is just an alternative 'launch pad' to start from, as i said many ways to skin this cat. regs alan Don't worry Alan. I know. It's something we deal with in our line on a daily basis. Andrew Hi Andrew, you surprise me, never realised you did guarding patrols lol regs alan best fight in ages and im going to miss it
arfur mo Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 hi guys, i think we are moving a bit to far away from the main element in the o/p and getting bogged down in finite detail. this could be for a large manufacturing plant, or a lock-up, either could have but no evidence of cctv, so until more info is posted best we leave it to the broader comments, not slug it out. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
luggsey Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Just a thought, if there is enough capacity on the intruder alarm you could fit a flush magnet at the "guard points" and give the guard a magnetic key fob. Program the zones for log only etc and set up a printable log from the intruder alarm, this would confirm via access code who was on site as well. Assuming there is an intruder alarm already fitted, may not work here but it could work elsewhere! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Life is like a box of chocolates, some bugger always gets the nice ones! jacktheripper Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Just a thought, if your site is big enough you could try one of these gps loggers GPS LOGGER ON EBAY or one of these GPS Logger2 just an idea. Ian
