sparky3366 Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Hi all...has anyone had problems with the g3 programming lead blowing fuses on the panel? The lead is fine, no shorts etc but as soon as I remove the lead from the pins, the fuse pops. At first I thought it cold have something to do with the usb/serial converter but even if I plug the lead onto the panel & then remove it when there is no connection to anything at the other end, it still does it. The laptop also recorded the panel as a 16+(!) in the shell... Possible dud panel? Does anyone else have quite a few g3-520's faulty? Am I the only one who thinks the build quality of the cases has gone right down as well? If at first you don't succeed...don't try skydiving!
sparky999 Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 I don`t work on security panels but when using the laptop on some fire panels with the mains lead plugged into the laptop it brings up an earth fault and one older Android panel it blew it up. Just wondered if it was a similar problem. Pete Peter Robinson Freelance M:07889038650
whistle Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 I have used my lead on G3's load of times and had no problems at all.
