Rosko Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Hi there - - - could anyone help me with how to solve this little problem. I've a 4 year old system in a factory with 14 Ultrak Domes linked to a Columbus Mpxr and Diamond controller viewed and controlled at a head office 30 miles away via Adpro Fastview 20 Transceivers. The client is really happy with the set up and wants to replicate it in a new factory next door. - - - once again 14 Domes etc. He would like both his managers in both factories (only 100 metres apart) to be able to view and control any camera in either site and for himself to have master control over a chosen mixture of 20 Domes from both old and new factories. He doesn't want to view via his computer but he is happy for others to log on to the system via internet or LAN. If I cannot obtain new Ultraks what other domes would be compatible as far as protocol is concerned? - - is it possible for our Main Man to control both the original Ultraks and whichever new domes we put in without giving him another controller on his desk ? I've thought of changing all the existing domes for new - - but the cost implication! - - also perhaps installing a new DVR in each factory and linking them together so that each managers office in each factory can access any camera whilst the remote office can access it's chosen 20 - - the limit of the Adpro kit. My problem is compounded cause both the Ultraks and the Adpro kit aren't made anymore although I can get Adpro stuff from Norbain if neccessary. - - -just not sure how best to proceed with this. I hope someone manages to understand the set up I'm trying to explain - - would be grateful for any suggestions. thanks Rosko
baywatch Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Lilin can supply IP fastdomes which you could view & control over the Internet or Network. They can also be controlled by a Lilin DVR which can also be networked if needed. http://www.meritlilin.co.uk/indexMain.html

JonTheBlue Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 Norbain have a few KD6 domes left, Honeywell have pulled the plug on all distribution channels barring their own - failing that you will have to go to ADI-Honeywell for the new varients which are backwards compatible.
Rosko Posted May 4, 2007 Author Posted May 4, 2007 Thanks for that After a wee bit of research I think you're probably right. Gardiners seem to be the Honeywell agent so I'll try there.
