Network Over Mains

I can only speak for the USA mains.

I believe these transmit across the same frequency as X10 modules through the wiring. I believe that you can use X10 devices that link the different phases together.

There are the kind that can go in to the panel, or you can use the device that goes in to the dryer socket, and then the dryer plugs back in to this. This has the "bridge" built in.

You may have a problem going through line conditioners, as it may block the signal as noise.

There are systems that will allow you to bring internet to a whole building such as apartments, condos, and universitys dorm rooms using the mains wiring.

You can also send the internet over medium voltage lines through the grid of the power company.

This can be done over CATV cable, and regular phone cable as well.

I am trying to imagine using wireless, through the RG cable, through the mains to get to internet modem!

Those that do TSCM have much to be concerned!
