williaminsurrey Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 I hope the experts can help with this. I have an Intellisense 800L burglar alarm system, which was installed in 2000. When I shut off the mains lighting circuit the alarm is activated and the control panel (touch pad) goes dead (i.e. no lights). This has just started happening recently. It seemed to me like the battery had died, so I replaced it with another, fully charged, 12V battery of slightly larger capacity (3.3 Ah versus 2.8 Ah), and also replaced the 1A fuse with a new one (just as a precaution), but the system still seems
breff Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 most panels have a fuse to the battery on the pcb, you may find that this fuse has blown, if so replace only with the same type and rating. The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
Guest anguscanplay Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 battery leads may be the problem - cheap solder on jobs iirc
