i am sure the OP knows whether or not he is capable of climbing a ladder or not.

No, and neither is anyone stopping the op. But giving advice without due warning could be misconstrued.

Fall from a great height and Mr insurance man will show his unsympathetic side. Just has he would of course if peeps go poking around inside panels with mains running around in there.

:no: i dont think it would, its different for a home owner doing stuff like this on his own property.

not going to argue the point but - ehm yes it does :yes: still needs to follow them whever at home at work in the park or at the seaside :yes: whever been paid or working for yourself :yes:

look, every one has their opinion. if the OP wishes to go up a ladder that is his fault if he falls off not ours. if he feels confident doing so then what can we do about stopping him.

the simple answer is DONT DO IT IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING
