SecureAbility Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 I had a call of a sort of friend who thinks he is an engineer, he was asking me why he had to go round all the PA buttons in this house to set the alarm off........ He had wired them all in paralel! Its a funny old game........
kka Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 lucky he did a test then.....imagine this, somebody puts a gun in yor face, you discretly hit the pa button then spend the next three hours wondering why armed response has not arrived. barooga Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 No false alarms though. Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional
morgan306 Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 Seen this done before but with door contacts, all in phone cable too! You do get them don't you!
engineery Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 i had same thing with two sensors on same zone which was bad enough, but to find them wired in parallel was beyond belief. Any comments / opinions posted are my opinion only and do not represent those of my employer or Company
snowdog Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Surely you mean the the buttons were wired in series?
Truss and France Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Surely you mean the the buttons were wired in series? No parallel
