Guest NLMCC Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 Help Please! We've got a karizma plus control panel which is linked to the intruder and fire alarm. Our fire alarm was not being detected at central station and we had an engineer call out. Unfortunately, the engineer could not access/program the panel without the engineers code for the panel. We were told the engineer code had been wiped out. Any advice on how we can retreive the engineer codes or program new ones. Thank you.
morph Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 The "engineer" that you have called out will be able to default the panel and reprogramme a new number and settings. If the panel was being monitored by a central station, then surely the system is under contract and if the engineer does not know the code, then that is a problem for the contracted company to sort out. I would advise that you dont try to do anything with the system yourself as this would invalidate any warranties and may leave you open to higher charges from the installing company. Colin.
Guest Adrian Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 B) I would say make shore you get your alarm company to look at it and not anyone else the last thing you need is the Fire Brigade and or police coming out because someone didnt know what they where doing. (These days it so easy to lose your police response.) Adrian B)
