Flying Boy
Hi You may need to program the comms in communications. I presume you have a manual. If want it to ring your mobile you need to go to communications and set report to private and select what you want to send. The manual explains all of this but if you still get confused you will need to call an engineer to help you. Flyingboy

magpye
i do have broadband will that cause a problem? Yes, a Broadband filter has to be fitted, the Dialer, (alarm), has to be treated like a telephone, =Broadband + filter + (telephone (alarm)) Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care. deano1978
its plugged in and it already goes through a broadband filter it tells you in the book to use an rj11 cable but i dont understand how as it has no telephone socket end. from the lead i'm using i also have 2 cables left over a yellow and a black which go nowhere into the control panel is that why it isn't working i have the red and green cables plugged into the panel exactly as it shows in the manual, it however does not stat what to do with remaining yellow and black one. can anyone help i just dont get it. deano1978
yes mate phone works fine, maybe its the programming any ideans have done what it says in the book. what about the 2 spare wires what should i do with them?
Flying Boy
Hi you only need two wires to make this system work you should have wired them into line on the powermax. You then wire from the powermax to a ADSL filter and then to ,pins 2 and 5 on phone extension. You then program the panel in communications and hey presto it should work. Thanks Flyingboy I take no resposibility for you damanging your phone or powermax should you wish to follow the above advice.
