Stewbow Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 I take it that you have checked all of the panel fuses
Stewbow Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 When you said you moved the end of line unit from zone 4 to zone 3, was that with the circuit cables removed, with the end of line unit connected direct into the panel?
whizzkid Posted July 3, 2007 Author Posted July 3, 2007 zone 3 had about 4 detectors and 4 call points wired with an eol reistor and was in fault zone 4 just had an eol resistor moved the resistor from 4 to 3 moved detecotrs + cp's and eol from 3 to 4 zone 4 works fine now zone 3 still in fault
whizzkid Posted July 3, 2007 Author Posted July 3, 2007 im thinking the board is fried id like to see them fit addressible system hehe but need to see if i can fix it for them first as there is no support contract on the system)
Stewbow Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 sounds like an insurance claim to me, unless you now a good man with a soldering iron and an osciloscope
sparky999 Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 It sounds like the lightning has blown the fault monitoring it is a common problem after a strike. New panel needed now Pete Peter Robinson Freelance M:07889038650
