Help! Please!

C & K Securit 700L System with ANALYSER MK 1

This system was fitted many years ago and has been upgraded a couple of times. The company who installed it went out of business. It consists of impact sensors and door contacts to the perimeter only of a detached bungalow. Zones 1 & 3 cover the front and porch doors yet, the rest of the system is wired through an 'analyser MK 1' which is on zone 2 and covers the the perimeter of the building via the window sensors and door contacts. A 4 core cable serves all of zone 2 (two cores Panic Attack and two cores Alarm).

(Zone 2) It has worked fine until recently new patio doors were fitted and the existing shock sensor (a very old cylinder type impact sensor on a mount) would not fit back onto the door frame. Newer types of impact sensors were tried and have failed. So I tried a contact yet this would not work.

The analyser has an LED on it that lights up when its zone (Z2) is triggered this worked up until a recent walk test and now it's constantly on thus zone 2 is constantly showing an alarm condition.

I have installed and repaired quite a few alarms yet this is something I need help on from the experts as I have never come across an analyser before.

Please advise whether to ditch this system of dilapidated sensors or how to get it working again.

Many Thanks!

I suspect the analyser is latching in alarm condition and so requires a reset. Without seeing it i am struggling to recall but if it dont have a reset pair of pins and power down and up dont reset it then i would have to say check that the sensors are all closed.

The old vibration sensors sound like the type that are either open or closed contacts, stick your meter across the cct to check that its closed. Link out the analyser zones to prove the analyser.

If the analyser is not closing/resetting then your in the ****, ive never seen the likes for many years now.

If its one of the inertia's then at least you can link it out. They should have an arrow on the end to show you which way is up, which should let it be in a closed condition.
