PThomas
Hi all I have a Texecom Premier 24 Alarm Panel which I will install in the coming months. I have the following upgrades with it:- 1 x Texecom Premier 24 Alarm Panel 1 x 8XE internal zone expander 1 x 8XP external zone expander to provide full 24 zones Could you please answer a few questions:- Can the system be set to 'chime' when a door is opened (from the door contact sensor) and if yes, can a different chime be set for each door? (How many different tones available?) If the answer to above is yes, could I put a external sensor on a side gate and chirp when it is opened? Can a number of relays be switched on/off from the panel based on certain sensors being activated? (Linked to 240v relays to switch on external lights if the alarm activates for example) Can a break beam sensor be used externally with this panel to detect somebody outside and then switch on external lights? As you may gather I am looking to provide a few additional functions to most users. Thanks in advance for any comments.
breff
1 yes,3 2 yes, only problem is if using chime the zone will have to be programmed as used and the external gate will cause an alarm when the system is set, if you had used a Prem48 you could have put it in a seperate area and use for chime only. 3 yes 4 yes, program output as zone mimic and zone as not used to prevent activation of alarm when set. The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
