does anybody now how to connect the dialer to the panel via the comms plug

ie what colour wires go in which terminal on the dialer

ie red = +12

I have not installed the panel as yet just want to make sure i get it correct before i rip out my //.Large National Installer.// system !

Hi mike - what does it say in the instructions ?

Angus

on the dialer (660)

OP1 =programable output (active +12v)

LF= Telephone line fail output (active +12v)

0V = 0v supply

12V = +12v supply

ST4 = +ve removed

ST3 = +ve applied

ST2 = +ve applied

ST1 = +ve applied

ST+ = +ve removed

then it says connect the inputs reqd For guidance fire ST1 panic ST2 burg ST3 spare ST4

on the panel (9651)

comms plug =

O/P1 = brown -ve applied( +ve removed) in alarm

O/P2 = orange -ve applied (+ve removed) in alarm

O/P3 = yellow -ve applied (+ve removed) in alarm

O/P4 = green -ve applied (+ve removed) in alarm

O/P5 = blue -ve applied (+ve removed) in alarm

O/P6 = purple -ve applied (+ve removed) in alarm

O/P7 = white -ve applied (+ve removed) in alarm

O/P8 = grey -ve applied (+ve removed) in alarm

line fail input = white/brown +12v applied to indicate tel line fail

Tell Black input = white/orange +12v applied to chage from engineer to customer reset

0V = black

12V = red

hope the above helps / as you can see i seem to have move wires than connections and the 2 sides arn't labeled the same

if possible (looks like it can be done in manual) i would like to make it so if its a fire / burg / panic the dialer will recognize the signal

you have 8 outputs from the panel but only four inputs to the dialler that is correct just isolate the outputs you dont need then once you have programmed the outputs to be the type you want ( but it might well be the default settings anyway ) your sorted forget colors just connect output to input ie output 2 to ST2 etc but remember it all changes round for the LF - easy

I think I get the fist bit but what do you meen it changes round for the LF

LF = line fail i presume

so just to check

12v to 12v

0v to 0v

op1 to st1

op2 to st2

op3 to st3

op4 to st4

LF to line fail input = white/brown +12v applied to indicate tel line fail

what happens to op1 & st+

Hold on........................according to those instructions the panel outputs are positive removed but the dialler inputs are positive applied, if so it wont work except for ST4

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

nah its classic scantronic double talk - zones not selected will be removed lol

positive applied at the 660 means in its un-triggered state and positive removed at the panel is triggered

think I read in instuctions you can program the outputs to + or - ve

will check and report back (cooper/scantronic said the kit is all compatable with each other)
