Guest Dave the alarm man Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 690 i thing, its an id panel.did KINGS ever have them set up to their defaults or will it be standard last poached job had bog standard software in it
alterEGO Posted July 28, 2007 Author Posted July 28, 2007 last poached job had bog standard software in it Ok, i'll stop being lazy and crash codes, replace battery, bell and service.
Deltaseven Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 The 690 is a good, reliable panel - crash and reprogram. If you don't like Menvier, then Castle is the way to go for easy programming and general engineer-friendliness.

arfur mo Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 i am going to now, not that i don't like them, just wanted a gardtec for future remote service.its my standard panel and would like to get most of my installs on them at some point. although i looked a premier the other day and was tempted imo it's got to make sense to establish on one maker of panel, and unless you get bad service or need a more sophisticated panel then stick to it where you can. even if your skipping what is another known good panel, perhaps just keep it as a spare for any other takeovers, as like buses you get one and three will follow along behind. this way there is far less engineer training and less confusion caused by engineers being unfamiliar, so less mistakes and go backs, also keeps standby stocks carried by service engineer lower in the vehicles. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
Justin Roberts Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 Go for the Karisma its far better than the Gardtec !
alterEGO Posted September 28, 2007 Author Posted September 28, 2007 Go for the Karisma its far better than the Gardtec ! lol, sold one of the two crappy karizmas now, just gotta get rid of the other one
arfur mo Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 tbh the karizma +'s were really good panels imo, had that piggy back socket so if you needed to do say 20 or 30 flats, set one up, us copy chip and just drop it into all the other panels what a doddle and no pc needed. pitty they never did that for the Ultimate peronally i'd fit the G593/5 with expander, accepts either old or new biscuits (but not mixed). given the system is reliable just the keypad is tatty surely got to make sense to swap out the panel. and cables are easy as this way regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
