integrafire Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 Looks like someones opened up a can of worms chaps.
Guest PeteGBR Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 If I only had 2 or 3 zones I wouldn't want an ugly galaxy keypad stuck in my hall screeching at me every time I left the house. There's cheaper and nicer looking / sounding alarm systems on the market. Is it too much effort learning how to program something else?
Guest Andyp Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 Its not about learning something else Pete, it is just the fact that we have made a corporate decision to use Galaxy as our intruder alarm panel as we find it a true all rounder. We have used other panels but have decided that unless we are asked otherwise, we will stick to Galaxy. Cost does come in to it sometimes but we rarely fail to win the job because most people have heard of the galaxy and trust the name. Is it too much effort to try to sell it Pete? Andy
Guest kenny james Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 i always book myself for a day of installation per alarm sytem which is realistic because i know when i leave the premises the work is a 100%, i have noticed the century that we live in everything is on demand, everybody wants something now, people phone you up wanting an alarm installed today, like houses have you seen how quick they throw them up now adays i would not call it advanced technology more like time is money, quicker they get them up the more money that is made but at the end of the day workmanship is poor that is why anybody who thinks he can put in more than 2 a day installations is only kidding himself and the workmanship involved.
paul fae kings Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 One a day if it is complete job start to finish. But surely more if its a first fix Kenny?
