cycop Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 hi, I have horizontal lines which looks like distortions on my CCTV video what could be wrong? how do i enhance the signal for BNC cable?
camerabloke Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 sound like noise on the coax or phasing. try fitting a "humbug" which disconnects the earth from the system, this should work. or make sure all 240 volt cameras are on the same phase Eucam Security Systems 0845 4630 746 www.eucam.co.uk

Guest anguscanplay Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 this is a new camera to my existing 2 cameras, only the new camera has this problem and does it do it if you connect it at the dvr ?
tinnitus Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 the BNC connector has not been fitted correctly at either or both ends. make them off again. probably
cycop Posted August 12, 2007 Author Posted August 12, 2007 the BNC connector is fitted correctly. I am suspecting the BNC connector could be faulty. how do it verify it?
tinnitus Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 the BNC connector is fitted correctly. I am suspecting the BNC connect could be faulty. how do it verify it? did you fit them? the little gold pin has to "click" and be crimped, some dont do this.
