Hi,

Yes it really is my first day on the forum. "My grey hair is old age not wisdom"

I have worked in the Security Industry for over 30 years. This is a sad tale. I am a self employed Approved Alarm installer I do abit of alarm monitoring using digi's onto my Scancom MRX. Ive been doing this sort of Security since 1988. One would have thought I would be succsessful after all these years. (Wrong Again)

Im working in the South Wales Area its come to my notice that I don't have anyone to talk to in the same line of bussiness as im doing. Its like as if im not a member of the right club. I go to the traders to buy my equipment and learn very little of whats going on in the Industry. Its like the Secret Service. I can honestly say I have not got a single friend in the Alarm industry who when the wheels start to fall off I can talk to. If there was a spike on the floor at this moment I would throw myself on it. Well im sorry I went off on one but thats how it is down here. Im at the bottom and still digging. Im looking for a second hand Scancom MRX as a spare mines getting on abit or an RX2000 Receiver cheep. I would be interested in hearing other installers coments who are trying to make it in the monitoring side of the industry. Mike.
