patching98 Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Hi, I really need some help I have a Scantronic alarm (think its 9448) Ive got two 9427 keypads. We had the alarm fitted back in 1998/1999 and the alarm has worked fine until 2 months ago we had a power cut - the alarm box at the front keep's flashing. We have tried turning the power off and on a couple of times - the alarm does not want to reset. We have check all the fuses and they are fine, we have also taken the batteries to check them from the main box and the one outside - this made the alarm go off. The power light is on the keypad, when I try to enter our code the keypad beeps but doesn't do anything and it will not reset. I really need someone's help to try and reslove this issue. Lucky enough I have 4 huskies so I haven't needed to put the alarm on. I am going away this weekend and the dogs will not be here to gaurd the house so I really need the alarm to work Many Thanks Dee

patching98 Posted September 4, 2007 Author Posted September 4, 2007 Do I have to go to an alarm specialist or can I get one anywhere. D
Guest anguscanplay Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 Do I have to go to an alarm specialist or can I get one anywhere.D you can buy em anywhere ( maybe even tesco ) but it`ll be quicker , easier and maybe cheaper in the long run to get a proper alarm company to come and sort it out - the panel will be locked out and theres a specific way to deal with this
patching98 Posted September 5, 2007 Author Posted September 5, 2007 Many Thanks for your help and yorur time, I will get one today, can you let me know what I need to do later to get it working. Dee
