mjw Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 the fire brigade ( there to deal with the roof catching fire from the motor over running ) could use their hoses as crowd control - lol Yeah seems to work quite well in germany when england loses
arfur mo Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 i am with you all the way,the point i was trying(and sadly failing) to make was that a bit of kit aimed at the pro market shouldn't be made available to any body i can see it now a very nice master blaster situated in the loft space of a new build terrace house(fitted by a diyer) with endless bell time and the resident away on 2 weeks hols think the neighbours may well start a lynch mob absolutely, the unit should come with a basic guide (if new), and so the advice to limit the run time. but then i have lost count of how manny times i've seen pro installs where that is ignored as no timer fitted. personally not installed one for several years now, but i think the one i did had a cut off timer built in just can't swear to it given the real risk they present of a fire hazard and damage to hearing, it really should be included by the maker by default imo. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!

arfur mo Posted September 10, 2007 Posted September 10, 2007 Hi andymac, how do you like this forum. Not as friendly as the other forum we go to is it. screwfix.com forum refugee? well i'd wonder, if it was that good why anyone would ever go elsewhere? so must be the floor show that brings 'em in - by the way Angus - your up next on the pole truly good advice can either friendly or unfriendly but still remains good advice, where as conversely both friendly or unfriendly advice may not always be qualified as good advice, so it follows the way any advice is offered or delivered is not a useful measure of its true worth. and thats very good friendly advice -- inless of course you wanna ? lol! regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!

I went up into the attic...I found a Stradavarius & a Picasso. Unfortunately..... Stradavarius couldn't paint, and Picasso made a shocking fiddle. magpye Posted September 11, 2007 Posted September 11, 2007 What is IIRC an abbreviation for? "If I Recall Correctly" Used normally to quality something quoted as fact, to indicate that the item is being quoted from memory rather than having checked back to original sources. Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.
