Iain Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 I'm about to replace a system at a premises set up so turning the key in the exit door deadlock also terminates the exit set Can anyone tell me what kit I would need to replace this? Is it a special lock, or is it a contact that can be put into an existing deadlock. I've tried researching it, but have come up with nothing, and don't want to get to site wihtout the correct kit I'm hoping soeone can at least point me in the right direction to look

(asuming your talking the lock?) renewing controls? proper 100 quid for the metal endstation type rather than the plastic stick in your house type

(asuming your talking the lock?) renewing controls? proper 100 quid for the metal endstation type rather than the plastic stick in your house type I'm replacing the panel (it's an ADE Ultimate that's packed up), and as the old system used ID biscuits, whilst new system will be using EOL, it's gonna be easier replacing everything I'll check the lock out, and as long as it's working ok, I'll leave it be. for that, And no, I don;t work in the trade, but have been installing privately as a sideline for a number of years (mainly domestic, and either texecom R8+ or Gardtec panels) Shame that doesn't qualify me for trade access on here LOL Thanks for the help Iain
Guest Dave the alarm man Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 and as the old system used ID biscuits, whilst new system will be using EOL, it's gonna be easier replacing everything I assume rewiring?
Iain Posted September 6, 2007 Author Posted September 6, 2007 I assume rewiring? Yes, I'll be rewiring everything. It's the only ways forward
Guest Dave the alarm man Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Yes, I'll be rewiring everything. It's the only ways forward thats okay, as lock setting & 60 zone (point) ade ultimate, sounds (maybe) like a large commercial sytem that is (was) on signalling
arfur mo Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Yes, I'll be rewiring everything. It's the only ways forward why say that nless condition is an issue? several panels out there from different makers can us iD and replace an ultimate/karizma, if your under 30 zones it's a breeze but you might have to run extra wires for the keypad. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
