andymac
Hi all, I have just intalled my pro digi to my gardtec 816 panel. All is sort of well except that every time i set/unset the system it calls me! I have followed instructions in the installation manual, but when i plugged the pro digi onto the board i got some extra menu options which i dont know what do, they are channel r/rep program digi test etc. there is no reference to these in the panel installation manual, is there a seperate manual for the pro digi? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Andy

Thanks, Andy Sounds like in the menu you have set the reports for set and unset procedures.Without looking at the manual i cant really tell you..There should be a technical helpline with your manual ,they will know straight away what your doing wrong. arfur mo
hi Andy i'm assuming you know the 'pro digi' is not a voice dialer but a digital communicator as such should go via an alarm receiving center who then call you in turn? if your sending it to your phone and rely on the number displayed via CLI on your mobil. you will get several calls on an activation and an FTC (fail to communicate) message on the panels log and display, so best to program for abort, also for no comms in part set and turn off 'restore', or going to the toilet and accidentally setting off the alarm will mean your phone ringing several times. if you have used the fly lead with blue plugs on, then the digi type needs to be set to 'Gardtec' and the set/unset reporting option needs to be switched off on channel 4 in the same menu under 'reporting'. you also need to remove the resistor bottom left of the main pcb connected to line fault terminal, older panels had a hard wire link and if left connected it can seriously damage the panel, the later resistor can affect proper programming of the pro digi. regs alan Hi all,I have just intalled my pro digi to my gardtec 816 panel. It does ( bar the obvious mistake ) but theres also far too much information given to a member of the public ( might have to go replace all my old prodigi`s now ) actually its a good example of how risco took their eye of the ball and allowed untrained , unskilled purchasers access to engineer support. Guest anguscanplay
just an idea, if you program the pro digi to phone your mobile then you will know the alarm has gone off at home due to the CLI feature and 'fax' beep but no voice message real basic maybe, but it will still work for your needs. regs alan ring any bells Arfur - a simple apology will surfice Angus
