New member - apologies if this problem covered before but can't find on search.

Moved into house with Veritas R8plus (wired PIRs) which was installed by reputable company at time of house build 5 years ago - no apparent maintenance since. When entering the house with the alarm armed, it triggers immediatly, necessitating a reset. The only PIRs that can detect on entry are (1) hall (2) lounge.

I have found that by keeping lounge glass door shut (thus obscuring the lounge PIR) when setting the alarm pre-exit, I can then re-enter with the usual delay thus enabling code to be entered to dis-arm. When I set the alarm with lounge PIR obscured, I get only Hall led illuminated on control panel. If I set with lounge PIR visible then both hall & lounge leds illuminate.

I've read the user's manual and done resets etc but can't find a solution. Can any one assist please?

you could get an engineer to reproggrame the lounge as an " access " zone but if the codes are locked it wouldnt be possible

big note on door saying " close before leaving " ?
