(granted, the Premier is not a DIY marketed (or really suitable) panel unless you are competent...ooops better not use that word.. ) The Premier range do support X10, through an interface though - you get a cable from texecom to connect it up. You can assign events to x10 commands, so pir motion could switch a light on for example. I would go for a Premier in place of a Comfort panel anyday - ask here for views on Comfort and I can imagine the replies... I use a Premier 168, with heaps of PIR's (one in each room of the house), so I have occupancy detection. This can switch lights on and off as required. I also have smokes and CO heads too. If my better half leaves the kitchen light on, it can switch it off if no occupancy is detected (no PIR activity) after a set time... I do this thorugh Homeseer. All this stuff feeds into Homeseer, and nearly all the zones appear as Homeseer devices, where you can script and get stuff easily working. There is also a neat ( and cheap) relay board that you piggy back into the Premier... useful to swicth stuff if you dont go the PC route. Make sure you get a UDL cable to programme the panel, as the RKP route would cause you great pain. (not impossible, just a PITA) Hope that helps - its a start DJ

I was advised that it would cause false alarms and not to go that route. Have you had any false issues with the smoke detectors? I will lookup homeseer, but if you dont mind I would like to know what you bought to set this system up. Thanks
