GJD can be linked to the alarm system, won't be graded but its DIY anyway.

As fo adding lights they don't have to be taken back to the GJD head end Alan, you can just run them to an expander, and from there back to the GJD head end in alarm cable.

thats true of the 2 channel set up with remote customer unit, i was thinking of the single channel (solatair?) unit for cost savings.

new controller looks good but since part 'p' i've dropped out of fitting security lighting, often sold as a 'make weight' to make the less exotic alarms on larger houses more viable for me. big issue is if a bulb go's they insist you come and change it  then have to explain the cost of a call so can lead to possible mistrust and arguments with the client as most my calls are north london area and i live in Essex.

Alan, suggest fitting diodes as reccomended by system Q - makes bulbs last longer

that will have the effect of 1/2 power (due to half wave rectification), not tried it so not sure if the light output would be sufficient in all cases, might be better to go with 300 watt lamps, but still a good tip.regsalan
