Hi, I believe that my rechargable battery in my Optima XM6 alarm box requires changing and have managed to purchase a new one, but was wondering if there was any particular procedure for doing this?

Can anyone help?

Many thanks,

Martin

Open the panel but beware mains voltage so take care, pull the red and black off battery terminals and reconnect the new battery taking care to fit red to red and black to black .

reconnect lid ,put in your user code then press reset and job done.

is it poss to have eng reset on this panel. is it just a simple optima type? if so probably not.

to explain to the original poster, some panels require the engineer to reset them if a tamper occurs (opening the lid of the panel). i don't think you will have this problem but another member will clear it up in a min or two.
