magpye Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Hi AngusI only have a user code so cannot add or delete wireless sensors which is what I need to do ................ JohnnyD This is not a wireless panel. To default and re-prog the Engineer code necessitates the use of a sequence of commands, easy if you have the manual, powering down etc will not do this. The only things to be lost when powering down will be the date/time, everything else is kept by the NVM Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.
magpye Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Abacus 6/14 or 6/14COM a metal panel requiring a remote keypad, with or without a built in digital communicator Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.

johnnyd Posted October 22, 2007 Author Posted October 22, 2007 Indeed it is a 6/14COM with a wireless I/O attached, I have managed to get hold of the necessasary information from a collegue in the business, which means I don't have to landfill the current working system I have in my property. I have now uninstalled the broken wireless door sensor from the unit and have reset the installer and user codes as the system allows (but still remembering the setup info, clever ) and ordered another sensor to replace the broken one. But I can now set the system One question, does anyone know how/if I can use the 2 wire/modem data info on a PC that can then be used to dial a landline/mobile , as redcare is not really a fesable option for a home property due to cost, the other options I have are an auto dialler or gsm dialler, but if the info is already available then maybe a piece of PC sofware can convert this data to something useful? Does anyone have a recommended auto dialler (GSM or 2wire) as I cant find a GSM under
