Smoke Screen Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Indeed James Yet again a man of admirable loyalty. With reference to whose system it is, and to avoid ambiguity, as James says,.........Smoke Cloak. A quick look at the review of security smoke systems on this site, shows some photos provided by Paul Dards (MD of Smoke Cloak UK) taken from the video footage in the YouTube link. The review was written by me as a representitive of Concept Smoke Screen website here and included links to Smoke Cloak's site as well. My very good understanding is that the incidents shown depict a panic fired system installed with a multi-national company. The site in question is in the UK, and the installation was and is maintained by a major alarm installer, not an independent. Suffice to say, a high security department was deployed by the installer. The application raises some interesting queries regarding the deployment of security smoke and it's uses. This is starting to meander slightly off topic, and perhaps an idea would be an editorial review of the applications of all security fog systems (including the pit-falls) which given time I will post in the Security Smoke sub group of this forum. As per the last effort submitted, I will ask my competitors to contribute. The new standard also nears completion, and there are various developments within this admittedly niche market place, these will also be published. I hope that it will be of interest. arfur mo Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 contact 'smoke screen' and you can go on a free 1 day course (sandwiches are good to), they esplain everything and demonstrate how to site, instal test and service them, while being very simple to install properly, they are not in any way suitable for diy units or for ill informed chancer's to get involved with (with all due respects). regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!

arfur mo Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Everyone seems to be raving about smoak cloak(which is good),but so is fog bandit in fact having used both i prefer fog bandit think it's more a case of the devil you know, i went on smoke cloaks excellent course the fact it was excellent creates a good impression even though to date not been able to sell any of it. imo seems hard to convince the owners of offices and households the smoke won't leave a layer of soot everywhere which seems the main resistance, if you persist your likely to turn the client against all your other idea's you put forward. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
tinnitus Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 Guys, both types are incredibly effective, not much between them. Arfur, get a little media player and show the customers a video, i can only speak for the last couple i fitted, Bandits, but the area is left with a pleasant minty smell. i agree about forcing the issue though. Can i also point out that my previous post included a link to the youtube website where a demo of a smoke cloak could be found. the demo is tagged with "ABEL". I have been informed it is not an Abel job nor is it a smoke bandit, sorry to all if i mislead, not my intention. i am sure of my source, it was youtube.
