Menvier M800i General Fault

Hi guys

I have an annoying fault with a Menvier M800i system that i have installed. When the customer sets the system the display shows "press enter to set with general fault"

I have installed several of these systems with no problems. This one has been tested up down and backwards and no fault is showing but the display always shows the same.

This is connected to central station and uses prox tags for set/unset (fault shows when code used as well)

The manual lists several possible causes for this but all have been checked out.

Why can`t it just show the cause instead of "general fault" :!:

Any help would be appreciated

Is the front door open or are the standing infront of a pir when they are trying to set the system, showing 1 device open? Stand very VERY still- kick customer out of building (as they still think stand still doesn't applie to the because they are usally muppets when it comes to doing this.... even the brightest ones still act like they've ants in their pants) try and set it with all contacts showing closed and see what happens, if this sorts it either tell them to set it with the front door closed which they should do anyway or relocate pir to suite, only thing I can think of but not worked on Menviers for a good few years now lol.....

Hi,

I might be able to shed some light on this issue. I've had the same problem while i was on call at 2 o'clock in the morning. :bruce_h4h::realmad::ranting:

If the panel showing its got a general fault, but no fault showing in the reset message  . check the on-board and the hard wired

digi signals in the test menu. couldn't get shot of the problem, it just kept turning back on. Havn't found out why it was doing it, I'm guessing its something in the programming.

regards
