I have just installed a 500GB HDD into a brand new Neotech (NTIC) 16CH JPEG2000 DVR...........

The pictures on screen are all black and white....

Any idea's what I should to reset DVR or troubleshoot.?

Anyone had a similar experience?

cheers

Did you power it up without any cameras connected?

if so it auto sets its self to NSTC not pal, this could be the problem.

Yes I did power up without any cameras connected...so this really sounds like the problem...

Can this be resolved by resetting all features back to default?

Many thx for your help...will keep you posted....I do not have the unit currently nearby!

Nice one!

Thx Maverick but this does not stop the problem.

Basically I added the 500GB drive and powered up to make sure it was working....This was the first time the machine was started and hence I'm convinced it has selected NTSC instead of PAL giving black and white pictures.

I need to reset DVR somehow......

Will keep all updated as this machine seems to be very popular in the field!

I HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AS WELL LONG TIME AGO

TO GET OVER IT

U HAVE TO POWER UP ALL CAMERAS (COLOR) AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE CONNECTED TO DVR FIRST

THEN TURN ON THE DVR LAST
