whistle Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Did you power it up without any cameras connected? if so it auto sets its self to NSTC not pal, this could be the problem.

Yes I did power up without any cameras connected...so this really sounds like the problem... Can this be resolved by resetting all features back to default? Many thx for your help...will keep you posted....I do not have the unit currently nearby! Nice one! Map

Map Security Posted October 29, 2007 Author Posted October 29, 2007 Thx Maverick but this does not stop the problem. Basically I added the 500GB drive and powered up to make sure it was working....This was the first time the machine was started and hence I'm convinced it has selected NTSC instead of PAL giving black and white pictures. I need to reset DVR somehow...... Will keep all updated as this machine seems to be very popular in the field!
