And I like Samsung for "cheap & cheerful value". Just helped someone choose and they got a Samsung CLP-300. It includes a "starter" toner kit. Works as advertised. Don't know if they are still doing it but Dabs ( www.dabs.com now owned by BT) were selling these plus a refill kit for a very good bundled price. Edit - yup, just over

I gave up wanting to print colour images long ago due to the ammount of printers I simply had to throw away and the cost of ink. I take my photos to Tesco for printing, seems to work out cheaper that way. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Life is like a box of chocolates, some bugger always gets the nice ones! Personally I have a monochrome laser too, also gave up on colour printing at home. For business I use preprinted colour (e.g. letterheads) or get it done professionally at a print shop. For domestic stuff (mostly digital photos) I upload online and it comes back by post.

amateurandy
what ever printer you buy, check out the replacement ink prices as some are extraordinarily expensive In particular you need to watch for "all-in-one" cartridges of ink and drum/fuser on colour machines (it's quite common and not too expensive on monochrome).
