JohnCunningham Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Hi all, Took on fire alarm maintenance of some buildings today. Some had safety fire and securi fire logos on the control panels. don't recognize the design and can't find any reference on tinternet. are they a trade name for another manufacturer? any advice is appreciated. As usual no paperwork, log book or access codes. Landlord just bought the properties. Thanks in advance of any ideas. Best wishes John

JohnCunningham Posted November 10, 2007 Author Posted November 10, 2007 Hi Sparky,Here are some pictures. They were taken on my phone but reasonably clear.Thanksand....
Chorlton Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 1st = http://www.emergi-lite.co.uk/html/firedetails.php?id=7 One of the most common conventional panels available from electrical factors.
Chorlton Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Forgot to add the user code is on a factory fitted sticker on ther back of the cover. C.
John Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Second is a Securifire / Newlec / insert name here - very common panel code 4415 OMT is very poor - we don't usually bother with OMT as it usually locks up the panel and then needs resetting. Faults are latching so any work on circuits needs a reset to see if all is ok. Not my favourite panel, but there are worse out there! eddited for speeling misstook. Fire Member
JohnCunningham Posted November 10, 2007 Author Posted November 10, 2007 Thank you John & Chorlton for identifying the panels. As I said not seen these ones before in Swansea area and not stocked in the electrical factors I use. The contract I took on with these panels was in Cardiff so I guess a common panel in one of the factors up there. , Hope to return the favour sometime. John
