Hi

Hope you can help me, I have bought a cottage that has a Veritas 8C alarm fitted, I looked though the paper left by the people I bought the house from but there is no information on the alarm and also no code to set or unset the alarm.

There are 3 fire alarms at the property and they are also wired into the alarm,

My wife was cooking and the alarm went off, we had no way of turning it off, 30 minutes later it re set

Is there an egineer code or will I have to turn the power off to the alarm and remove the front cover disconnect the internal battery.

Once I re connect the power what will the code be 1234 ??

Not sure what else to do

is there a name or logo or phone number on the external siren cover? chances are the engineering codes are locked to the original installer so thats your first point of call - otherwise a reboot may leave you with the default code but little else

No there is no name or number on the outside box, if I have to reset it can a forum member go through the required steps to reset it and also what is the default code once I have done this

sorry forum rules don`t allow engineering information to be given out, it`s a comman problem and the only real way to advance is with an engineer attending - I`m seeing contracts for house sales that state the alarm must be rebooted and " clean " more and more nowadays.
