Exibit Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Hi Hope you can help me, I have bought a cottage that has a Veritas 8C alarm fitted, I looked though the paper left by the people I bought the house from but there is no information on the alarm and also no code to set or unset the alarm. There are 3 fire alarms at the property and they are also wired into the alarm, My wife was cooking and the alarm went off, we had no way of turning it off, 30 minutes later it re set Is there an egineer code or will I have to turn the power off to the alarm and remove the front cover disconnect the internal battery. Once I re connect the power what will the code be 1234 ?? Not sure what else to do
Guest anguscanplay Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 is there a name or logo or phone number on the external siren cover? chances are the engineering codes are locked to the original installer so thats your first point of call - otherwise a reboot may leave you with the default code but little else
