Chris170793 Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Hi All, Is it possible to communicate to upload / download on a Texe Veritas R8 plus panel using PC Com? I have the Veritas software and the PC com. Normally I use PC com and Wintex when programming premier panels. Also I am been asked to replce the standard LED keypad with the LCD type - do the veritas LCD keypads support zone text e.t.c like the premier ones? and do they have mappable zones like the premier keypads ?. Sorry for asking on here just wanted to check before I order any parts e.t.c Thanks Chris
breff Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Yes you can upload/download, its quite slow though. The Excel LCD keypad can only be fitted to the R8+, no zone inputs on the keypad. Zone text can be programmed into the keypad (yes the text is stored in the keypad NOT the panel) The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

Out of interest does the excel keypad display status/faults/alarmed zones e.t.c like the premier. The reason I ask is that this panel is fitted to my friends new house and he is used to the premier system I fitted to his previous house. I might just end up replacing the panel completely for a premier.....
