whibbs Posted November 17, 2007 Author Posted November 17, 2007 wayne, when you say you 'set' the system are you allowing it to fully arm? i.e. enter code/offer fob, exit bleep runs and times out fully. if not you will not get an external alarm signal. so set your system and wait for the exit bleep to expire and silence, then activate any 12 hour zone or tamper. if that don't work check you have not set any bell delays or perhaps the external siren to be 'silent in part set'. i don't know the panel used, but the above are common generic mistakes that are often made by engineers and end users alike. the idea is not to disturb the neighbours because you were distracted when setting the alarm, or just plain stony drunk . regs alan panel used premier 48 i set system exit time 70 seconds leave for full 3 mins before entering then re enter via any door but no bells Wayne Hibbs
breff Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 Are the doors set to entry/exit? if so EN50131 enabled will mean no bells during entry mode. check global options, system config option 34. The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
arfur mo Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 Are the doors set to entry/exit? if so EN50131 enabled will mean no bells during entry mode. check global options, system config option 34. i don't know the premier panels, but assume has many common abilities with other makes of panels, so i wonder if the door he used is in a 'ward' which is not set to operate external sirens possibly best way forward is to post in trade (assuming you are) asking for a member with the UDL software, email the file over and let them take a look. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
