A bit high matey.

Get another 2 quotes in. For a system like that we would charge between 575- 675 + vat installed. This would be Gardtec equipment(595 Panel). All wireless excluding the bell and keypad.

For that price i could come down and install the system for you.

I would chuck in 2 x remote key fobs aswell!

imo it do seem at the upper end of the price scale, get some more quotes, give the same info you gave that first company - and no more! let them see what they think and suggest you need. the more informed the installer is the better he should come over to you, find out how long they have traded and google their name, might turn up some good (or bad) details.

get the maker name/models of the equipment to be used, otherwise any comparison is fairly pointless.

Hi there

just spoken with the company who tell me the system would be a Honeywell Domonial system ?

The system would be a wire free system and will consist of the following:

1 No Control Panel

1 No Key Pad

2 No Passive Infrared Detectors

2 No Door Contacts

1 Transmitter

1 No Internal Sounder

1 No External Sounder SAB

The system will not have any dialing out facility fitted to it.

Hope this helps with comparison.

Agrred with Alter i would go with the 490x panel that takes a full range of wireless and has built in comms fitted that can dial a mobile etc.

Nothing wrong with the Dominal though but a bit steep in price.

Get another 2 quotes in and compare.
