dazauk
Had a look round the forum and couldn't find an answer, I've also looked at all the info available from the suppliers on the unit and can't find an answer either. We have a Scantronic 9751 (Bells Only). I'll confess I'm not a DIYer but have a potential issue with our security company and I was just wondering if anyone could give me a steer. Our alarm triggered while away on holiday and according to our neighbours it was going on/off continually over a couple of days (we had something in one of the zones that kept triggering the movement sensor) and the company were finally called out to disconnect the bell box as they couldn't get our key holders either. Acording to the maintenance guy who came round to reconnect it all, the alarm should only sound for a total of 3 times for 15 minutes each before going silent but this didn't happen. I assume that means not for each trigger event but in total. He has now set it to ring once and then go silent. That seems to be a faulty system to me, but I'm not sure the security company will agree and want to charge for the call out and leave the system configured as is (which seems a bit pointless). Can't find anything which tells me either way whether this is right or wrong and would be really grateful if anyone has a view on this, as I'd like to have a discussion with the security company based with the correct knowledge and not get BSd by them. Thanks in advance.
