alanjames Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Hi All, My alarm went off in the middle of the night when it wasn't set, now I can't get it off tamper and the internal sounder is permanently on. It's not on engineer reset. While holding the control box tamper switch, I can't stop tamper light flashing. I have tried resetting it with the black button on the circuit board to no avail. Can't find where the tamper wires to the bell box are as I want to short them so I know it's not a fault with the external bell tamper switch. Not even sure where the external bell box sounder wires come off the board as I can't find anything relating to bell on the board. Is there anyway I can get a circuit diagram for the terminal blocks and the board? Please help! Many thanks, Alan.
antinode Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Been a while since I worked on a Bentley... Does yours have a large black panel with a keyswitch on the left side, about 12 zones each with a push button underneath? If so, I believe the bell connections are near the bottom left corner of the PCB. It wouldn't be a bad idea to call someone in to sort the tamper fault and service the system for you, as simply linking the bell tamper out won't solve the problem and could lead to the external sounder sounding uncontrollably. That's assuming it is a bell tamper of course. Hope this helps. Trade Member

We've tried but are unable to get the alarm to work. I'm interested to know if there's anyone that supplies reconditioned boards for Bentley V2 (Alpha). Can't seem to get my Tamper light to go off. Does anyone know anybody that services Bentleys? Many thanks, Alan.

The Tamper light flashing on this panel usually indicates that a Panic button has been operated (got any children?) and needs to be reset. Only problem I can think of is "I have tried resetting it with the black button on the circuit board to no avail" , what pressing that out of sequence will have done to the panel programming I can't remember. Good luck Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.
