Setting "part Sets" And Zone Types

Back again (see my earlier post entitled Veritas R8 Plus "part Set" )

So finally I think I am getting somewhere, here is a quick recap.

Full set - alarms all zones and entry/exit is through front door - works perfect

Part set 1 - alarms all zones except Hallway so dog doesnt trigger PIR when we are out and entry/exit is through front door with normal quiet entry tone (used to activate alarm) - works perfect.

Now, I want to set up part set 2 with PIR on landing omitted, PIR in hallway as entry / exit and front door on guard. Is this possible. This is so we can set this at nightime but then get a reminder when we trigger the PIR in the hallway on our way down the stairs that the alarm is set and not to open any other doors.

I have read the manual and I cant find a way that allows me to change the individual zone types on individual part sets. It seems that you can include different part sets in the change zone type set up but they all follow suit. Best I can manage at the moment is Landing omitted, hallway entry / exit, front door entry / exit. How do I get front door to be guard.

One thing I didnt realise is that when using part set the siren outside doesnt sound when the alarm is triggered, but I managed to find this option and change it.

And finally - is there any way of getting more than a quiet entry tone when using part set.

Many Thanks

Andy

Hi ,

Only apply the zone type changes on part set 2.

Have a look at options 20 , 21 , 22

Regards.

Hi Fastcar, thanks for the response, I think I see what you are saying.

If I remove all part sets from the "change zone types when part setting" and then on part set 1 omit the hallway PIR that would still give entry / exit through the front door.

I could then add part set 2 to the "change zones when part setting" change front door to guard, change hallway to entry / exit on part set and then omit landing.

Do I understand correctly?

If so, excellent and many thanks

Andy

Hi ,

Yeah thats right , but you are not omitting the hall , you remove it using part set 1 option 51.

You could also have a play around with SW+ , this can be programmed as Ex/Ent to drive a small beeper, or similar.

Regards.

You will also have to look at option 23 if you want to change the front door to a guard zone.

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
