hi can any one help with the problem below

i need to connect a set of door contacts

the problem is that door i am fitting the contacts to is fitted inside a sliding door

the sliding door 10' wide x 15' high and needs to open to allow access to the showroom so stock can brought in by fork lift trucks.

fitted inside that door is a smaller door that is 3' wide x 7' high and is hinged open out to customer access in and out.s

how can i wire up to the door contacts i need some can of plugs that disconnects when the door slides open and reconnects when the door slide shut

one part fitted to the wall side and the other part fitted to the door face

does any one have any ideas

ho whibbs

seems to me any arrangement would not be compliant to the latest design Eu stature's.

is your system under contracts? and what is the risk involved i.e. what is in the showroom carpet tile adhesives or expensive jewels?

not all is lost, but we need more info to be able to offer any serious help

it will be quite difficult reading the ops original post to hard wire the sensor.

the sliding door section should be easily protected by heavy duty wired contacts (assuming they are in good condition). if the door is the type where the frame is removed then an expanding lead is often used to allow removal and connecting the contacts.

this really is getting into the more specialised area so you really would be wise to invite some local companies to quote for the work as they can better asses your needs and the situation in hand.

recommending 'blind' is not really a good idea, there are many options but picking the best is not easy and our efforts based on assumptions may mislead rather than help you.
